About Cash Flow Duplexes

John Gallagher

As a native Californian, I became fascinated with the rapid growth markets of business and real estate. I discovered that it was pretty easy to make money. However, the biggest rewards for me have not been how many millions I've generated, but how many people I've been able to help build solid investment portfolios.

Prior to becoming a real estate broker, I founded a software company, which I sold to a publicly traded company for a tidy sum.

For several years during the 1990s real estate was booming. I had been making careful study of how real estate never lost value, but rather how it would simply stay flat for a few years.

I also noticed when looking at real estate trends that there were always more years of steady appreciation than flat or slow growth periods. This supports the fact that real estate has been a stellar investment for centuries.

Probably the biggest lesson I've learned is -- that regardless of how many degrees you have, they're completely meaningless unless you apply the knowledge you've gained. In the same way, I've counseled investors of all stripes and found that from time to time they forget that you never make money sitting on the sidelines over-analyzing each investment, because in the real estate market, opportunity doesn't wait. You do, however, need to make well-informed investment decisions.

My participation in various business groups, and especially as an active member in many investment groups, provides me with the healthy perspective required in the current investment market. Below is a short list of some of the more frequented groups where you'll find me:

  • National Real Estate Investment Club
  • Oakland Real Estate and Buying Group
  • San Francisco Real Estate and Buying Group
  • San Francisco Real Estate Investment Meetup Group
  • National Real Estate Investment Club
  • ICG Real Estate Investment Club
  • Multi-family Investment Group (SF)

  • Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to working with you to help you with your investment goals.
